Cookie & Local Storage Policy

Last updated: 10 July 2026

We keep tracking to a minimum. The pages you use to browse and read are strictly-necessary storage only. On our PUBLIC pages we use cookie-free analytics — no cookies are set on your device — and it never runs on your private space, your check-in, your result, or the crisis page.

Your private space is never recorded. Analytics never runs on the member cabinet, the check-in, the result page, the in-the-moment urge tool, or the crisis page — the surfaces where health information lives. On our public marketing pages we use Microsoft Clarity in cookie-free mode: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and cannot recognize you across visits (each visit gets a random identifier). Because nothing is stored on your device, there is no cookie banner — but you can turn analytics off for this device at any time using the control below. We do not sell your data or build advertising profiles of you.

What we store on your device

NameTypePurpose
hv-themeCookie + local storage (1 year)Remembers light/dark theme. No personal data.
Sign-in sessionFunctional cookie (30 days)Keeps you signed in to your account. Strictly necessary.
mansio_screening / mansio_gate_emailFunctional cookies (2 hours)Carry your check-in session — including the signed email you entered at the start — so your result can be saved and emailed to you. Strictly necessary for the check-in; expire on their own.
mansio_claimFunctional cookie (7 days)A one-time random token that links your anonymous check-in to your account if you buy or sign in later. Contains no personal data itself.
Check-in progressSession storage (this tab only)Keeps your in-progress check-in answers on your device so a refresh doesn't lose them; cleared when you finish or close the tab. Never sent anywhere by this storage.

Analytics (cookie-free, public pages only)

On our public marketing pages we use Microsoft Clarity to see how people read and navigate them (heatmaps and anonymised session replay) so we can improve them. It runs in cookie-free mode: no cookies are set, nothing is stored on your device, each page view gets a random identifier, and Clarity cannot link your visits together. It is blocked entirely on the check-in, the result page, your account/cabinet, the urge tool, and the crisis page, and text you type is masked. You can turn it off for this device with the control above (your choice is remembered in mansio_analytics_consent). See Microsoft's privacy statement for how they process this.

Advertising measurement

When someone arrives from one of our ads, we report whether that visit led to a sign-up or purchase back to Meta from our server — a one-way, hashed (unreadable) email plus the ad-click identifier and the amount. No advertising cookie or pixel runs in your browser, and no health information is ever sent.

Third parties

Our payment Merchant of Record (LemonSqueezy) may set its own strictly-necessary cookies on the checkout pages it hosts. We do not control those cookies; see their policy. Cloudflare provides our DNS, inbound email routing, and a security/CDN proxy that filters malicious traffic and speeds up delivery; in proxy mode it may set a strictly- necessary cookie (e.g. __cf_bm) to tell humans from bots. It never sees your check-in answers.

Controlling storage

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Because ours are functional, blocking them may break parts of the Service (for example, your theme choice or staying signed in), but it will not stop you reaching the check-in or crisis resources.

For how we handle personal data generally, see our Privacy Policy, or email [email protected].

The Mansio is private recovery support and education, alongside professional care, never instead of it. This is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. In a crisis, contact your local emergency number.
